MEMBERSHIP MATTERS.
Building a powerful national and state network one chapter at a time...
The Arc California is the state chapter of the country's largest membership association for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and their families (I/DD).  The Arc is involved in every public policy debate and development in Washington DC and Sacramento CA.  Consider being part of the movement dedicated to every facet of life for people with I/DD and families.  Our chapter network is organized by counties and they either provide services and advocacy or just advocacy.  The Arc California is a 501 (c)3 charitable advocacy organization and our ability to be a powerful organization for people with I/DD is based solely on our capacity to reach an effective and engaged grassroots community who are knowledgeable about our community needs and understand that their involvement in the public policy making process is critical to the lives of our constituency.

TOGETHER. SHAPING THE FUTURE.
The Arc California is reaching out to partners in the corporate and nonprofit community who have a shared interest in our success together in supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and their families.  Whether your interest is in the successful integration of people with I/DD in school, work, or community, or the success of a robust community services system, or the strength and resiliency of families, or any combination of the dozens of other initiatives of The Arc California this partnership program is a great way to achieve success in our common interests together.

"Without these partnerships we could not sustain the many important initiatives necessary to help people with Intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in society today"

CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP
Full Participation
For over 60 years The Arc has promoted and protected the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supported their full inclusion and participation in the community.  We do that through a network of about 700 state and local chapters - including organizations just like yours - throughout the United States.... If your organization shares our values we invite you to become an affiliated chapter of The Arc and take advantage of the benefits of working with a national organization of like-minded people.

Affiliation dues are based on "ability to pay" formulas for both the State Chapter and National association.  Affiliated chapters of The Arc must join both levels of the network to be an affiliated chapter and be eligible for the full benefits and voting rights of The Arc.  The Arc California dues may be offset by revenue from membership originating in the chapter's county.
